They are asking me for a review of a watch that has not arrived after 15 days. And does not appear to have even moved from Poland yet by tracking number.
I love retro tech ! I also like modern touches and Niwa nail both with ease .
The Lunokhod watches are beautiful, lots of details on the inside and nice touches in the outside.
Those glowing orange tubes are hypnotic along with the extra battery indicator tube mimicking the Lunokhod's bigger Nixie tubed brother .
The watch is a bit bigger compared to it's O.G counter part , the sapphire glass magnifying effect draws out details while sucking you in .
Arabic numbers replace the Roman numerals, the central lights are a little more spread apart making at a glance reading a bit easier.
To be honest the original Lunokhod wasn't difficult after a few uses
The slightly lager circumference isn't obtrusive on the wrist , where the Nixie is fantastic it's certainly one of those watches that's out in the open , both Lunokhod's can be slipped under your sleeve easily.
The addition of the swiss time keeping crystal is a nice touch , I'm fairly certain the OG lunokhod has one but it's hidden.
Titanium case with it's finish that has a matte purple to gold effect depending on light. A really nice colour it is too as I have the OG lunokhod in this colour way. My max is a Stephan's quintet case which I thank Den for as it's another great unique colour way.
The straps included are again really nice and suit the watch perfectly.
Mine was a tan brown and it looks fantastic with the burnt titanium case .
These are a no frills function watch it's a time Keepet and that's enough , as a daily it's fantastic and yes you will get asked about it.
I really like Niwa watches , they're incredibly well put together, okay splash proof but like all electrics I don't get them wet regardless of rating .
They are nicely detailed, unique, value for money considering materials and attention to detail They're not completely out of reach .
My neighbour guessed a few thousand £ so I'll leave it at that.
Add one to your collection, wear it daily and be happy you've got something on your wrist that holds it's own in the big league.
On a side note I get about 5 days usage as I'm forever showing it to people and I like looking at it often .

I've got the Lunokhod and an Nixie and I wear both but I find the Lunokhod is becoming more a daily wear as it's a little easier to tuck under a shirt or top .
Don't get me wrong I love the Nixie very much it's big and bold .
The lunokhod Max strikes a great balance, it's a little bigger than the lunokhod , very slightly taller ,the face has a magnified appearance by the glass , the tubes been spaced apart a bit more make it a little easier to read at a glance .
Arabic numbers are used this time but I actually liked the Roman numerals.
Details remain the same with an additional battery indicator up front, on the back the clever magnet charger and meteorite slither , a nicely machined titanium lightweight case , the addition of a swiss micro crystal chip on display.
I maybe wrong but I believe the lunokhod has one too but it's hidden . Either way anyone who notices this watch will stare at it for a good few moments before asking about it.
Set up is easy , little magnet as before and off you go .
Couple of notes, the strap I got was really nice, Tan leather with three holes running either side , the other straps that are supplied are great but my watch is a little different, it's a Max with the Stephans quintet case and it certainly suits the watch design.
The tan strap makes it pop even more.
So big thank you to Den and the Niwa team who have been nothing but Stella with communication and delivery.

As a watch goes , it tells the time in a way no other does , it's simplicity suits me fine , I love the looks and intricacies of it's circuits on display.
So the Max has become my favourite in my collection it lasts about 6 days battery wise mainly because I'm always looking at it or showing it off.
A local where I live asked how much it cost so when I told him what it's made from and have a guess he thought about £2000 so I'll leave it at that .
Great watch that deserves its praise.
Now I've heard that Niwa are developing a desk clock with some very clever features ....needless to say I've asked to be informed on availability but if they can shrink that tech one day into a watch .... Niwa are already set apart from other brands they really are one of a kind!
It's no wonder watch finder lists them along side the most prestigious brands in the world when it's comes to doing things differently.
I was a little sceptical about magnetic straps but I've been proven wrong.
The quick realise pins make swap outs so easy , the coating has already survived a scrap getting luggage out the car without a blemish.
The magnet holds very well and it's surprisingly strong for it's size regardless of garment worn it's held well.
The only risk I guess is if you catch that magnetic part you are at the mercy of the strap magnet catching quickly to hold your watch.
The mesh is very smooth on the skin and plenty of them ,it's not to thick ,suits the watch style and it molds around every wrist shape easily.
I love my watch! The set-up was easy and the watch is not that much bigger than my Casio Pathfinder that I normally use everyday. Very happy!

in my previous Lunokhod review it says it all really!
There's something about days gone by technology they have a certain charm that pure digital just lacks.
This particular watch has charm , personally the lunokhod has some beautiful details , the gold Niwa logo and Roman numerals as well as the meteor slither in the back with all it's little wires and solder on show it's a really nicely detailed watch.
This particular watch has it's beauty on the inside and you'll find your self looking at it non stop .
Most watches in house money territory have intricate internals and that charm of craftsmanship where you soak up every little detail.
This watch with it's domed lens draws you in and you can admire every little part that makes this watch so unique.
Society knows all the big names in watches straight away before looking in detail they know the price.
This watch the conversation starts with a , what is that and for good reason, this watch is big but not unsightly, it's tall which adds to the presence alas again for a reason , there's a lot inside.
That's where the conversation begins with everyone who notices it ....and believe me they will!
The carbon back and nicely finished case feel robust, my Carina Nebula case has stood up with daily use plus a few knocks on things without a problem yet .
The Nixie tubes are really easy to read and display long enough to read them .
It would be good to have the timing feature the lunokhod has , in reality though this is fine .
Does struggle in direct sun but what doesn't!
I get about 5 days battery from my lunokhod mainly because I'm either showing people or looking at the glowing tubes because they look so nice .....I'm on my 2nd day of full charge and so far, so good with the Nixie.
This watch comes with a really nice leather strap , I have a nice chunky shark mesh that finishes this watch off ...black of course but it just adds to the industrial aesthetic.
Set up is really easy as well , tilt sensor works well.
Having a date feature would be cool day month and using both sides for the year.
A note the box and charging pad are really nice , charging is about 3 hours as stated .
Big watches aren't everyone's thing it isn't as bad as you think once you've got it on your wrist.
It really is a unique bit of kit, it's cool factor shines through every time it gets admired

This is beautiful combination of simple aesthetics and complex inners that looks like it was pulled straight from a dystopian future.
I've known about Niwa for a while and there are others who make similar but not as refined as this beauty .
Initially I was a bit worried the Nebula colour would be too feminine for my taste but it's actually way nicer in the flesh or titanium so to speak !
It's a dark mat purple with a gold hue that looks amazing in day light as well as an evening glow where it stays dark purple and this really compliments the inners of the watch.
It's true you can't help looking up close at all the little rods, filaments and wires that make this stunning watch work.
The case so far has remained pristine, I was worried about scratches but like anything if it happens it happens ,it adds to the character of that dystopian future I mentioned.
Like most, it doesn't take long to tell the time, once you map out those glowing tubes in your head you pick it up quickly.
The straps included are really nice as it's it's presentation box but I confess I found a Very nice black German chunky shark mesh strap which just add to the whole look perfectly.
I really like the charging method using the magnet cable, I bought my wife an early version of this watch in the Neptune case ,which she loves and it has the wooden base version but she likes that charger over mine so there you have it !
The meteor slither in the back adds to the conversation when people ask about the glowing thing on your wrist as well as the name .
And it's true it happens quite often so get used to talking to strangers.
The cost considering the materials is pretty darn good , I was worrying about water proofing, in all fairness my phone has an IPX rating and I don't get it wet but knowing if I'm out in the rain or it gets splashed it'll be fine suits me .
so far I've charged it once and I'm on my third day and it's doing great , I keep looking at it .
In bright sun it's a little tricky to read at a glance but what isn't.
Set up is really easy and I like the magnet switch.
I like these watches so much I ordered it's bigger tubed brother and I can see myself getting the full collection over the year .
Customer service has been great as was delivery .
One more thing ,I haven't worn a watch since 2000 well that also changed , so if you're in doubt I can say even as a collectors item it's great to own one or a couple of these .
A conversation starter for sure , attention grabber...yes.....will you make new friends....maybe !

The shipping was smooth, everything was packed securely. The manual was easy to understand, okay the picture quality could be better, but who cares, the clock is plug and play.

The watch looks amazing in the black Barnard 68 case. The dark colour really makes the orange and teal of the Nixie and VFD tubes shine even more, and it goes with a wide range of straps and outfits.
Thanks to the Arabic numerals on the Lunokhod MAX watch and the less compact "dial" compared to the Lunokhod model, the time is highly legible on this timepiece. It took me less than five minutes to get used to reading the time comfortably.
Above all, though, is the impeccable service, and I would like to thank the NIWA team again for their incredible helpfulness.
1950's Nixie tubes coupled with 2025 high-tech electronics - Now that's real cool. Despite me having small wrists, the watch looks fantastic. A very accurate timekeeper and Its a real conversation starter. I've lost count of the number of people who have admired the watch. Thanks Niwa

The watch I bought was great and I had no complaints whatsoever, but the strap I bought with it was also very beautiful.
It matched the color of the watch itself and could not have been more perfect.
If you buy a watch from this store, the strap that comes with it is soft and very comfortable to wear, but I would recommend buying a strap to go with it.
I received my watch quite quickly. The packaging was not very strong and it arrived torn, but the box was not damaged. This is a great watch! My friends and I are delighted.
